‘POG’ stands for Polyphonic Octave Generator, and is a pedal that allows you to recreate the sounds of various different instruments. It modulates your guitar signal either one or two octaves up, and one octave down, and adds a range of filters or detuning. You can select the blends of all of these, alongside your original dry guitar to create unusual tones. What’s more, you can manually detune the upper octaves allowing you to create a 12 string effect. By removing the dry signal and using sub-octave generator with the low pass filter, you can create an accurate bass guitar sound. Most impressively you can turn your electric guitar into something that sounds very much like a Hammond organ!
