Live vocal recognition MIDI controller
The Dubler Studio Kit is a highly innovative, live vocal recognition MIDI controller, and the people behind it are London based creative music technology start-up Vochlea Music. They’ve been making waves very quickly, and are graduates of the Abbey Road Studios music technology incubator and winners of the SXSW 2018 Pitch Competition.

This impressive kit gives you an intuitive way to translate musical ideas into reality, using your voice. When inspiration strikes you often end up humming or singing your ideas, sometimes into your phone in a voice memo. With the Dubler you can get your ideas into your DAW easily, using your voice - you can hum a synth pattern, beatbox to trigger a virtual drumkit, or manipulate effects and filters with a vocal sound, all in real-time.
AI Technology
The Dubler works using vocal recognition AI technology, allowing musicians to create music and control sounds, quickly and intuitively, and is aimed at every kind of musician.
The kit comes as two parts. There is the Dubler software, a virtual MIDI instrument for Mac and PC, that’s compatible with any music production software.
Then there is the Dubler microphone, which is a custom low-latency USB mic, tuned for the Dubler software. You can train your voice to the kit in less than 60 seconds, and start making music.

Using all of the timbral qualities of the voice, the Dubler Studio Kit allows musicians to trigger samples, control synths, manipulate filters and effects, track pitch, pitch-bend and control envelopes, velocity and MIDI mapping values simultaneously, based on the way they make their unique sounds. So it’s not just about the note you sing, but the way you sing it.
