A re-issue of the classic guitar first released in 1959, this hollow-bodied double-cutaway guitar has two lipstick tube pickups, and a bright, distinctive sound. It’s made of hardboard with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, and is light as a result. The original ‘59 was used by Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton, while more recent players include Christopher Wolstenholme of Muse, and Lianne La Havas.
