This is essentially two pedals in one. Firstly, a clean boost with a simple gain control for adding that extra ‘bump’ to a clean guitar signal, or pushing a tube amp that bit harder, and ‘Drive’ for something with more beef. The Drive channel has independent volume, drive and tone controls, for everything from a crunch to an all out distortion. The ‘close asymmetry’ overdrive circuit allows for a creamy distortion with smooth sustain without losing any punch, and the ‘warmth’ control can help you tame very bright and harsh amps. There is also a high frequency shelf-filter for added bite if and when it is needed. This pedal creates a very nice, rounded and warm overdriven tone, and the clean boost is also very useful.
