Fender Starcaster Bass

The Fender Starcaster bass is a new model of the very rare semi-hollow Starcaster Bass which was limited to a few prototypes in the mid 1970s. The original was very distinctive and the only offset semi-hollow bass guitar in Fender history. It had two huge humbucking pickups.

The new Starcaster Bass, from the Modern Player Series, also has a thin semi-hollow offset body, with a bound maple top and back, and bound f-holes. It’s a short-scale bass (30”), with a “C”-shaped maple neck and 22 medium jumbo frets. It features dual Fender Wide Range humbucking bass pickups with three-way toggle switching, four skirted “amp”-style control knobs (volume and tone for each pickup) and a four-saddle Fender Hi-Mass bridge. Available in Natural, Black and Aged Cherry Burst gloss finishes.
