Spectrasonics make sampled sound libraries and award-winning virtual instruments with products such as Omnisphere, Trilian and Stylus RMX Realtime Groove Module as well as the Omni TR iPad app. The company was founded in LA by composer Eric Persing - former Chief Sound Designer for Roland - and his wife Lorey. Spectrasonics is used by musicians from bands to film composers and remixers, and the Sound Source Gallery of pictures gives an amazing reference of original instruments. The company has also licensed sounds to other companies such as synth and V-Drum sounds to Roland. Spectrasonics users include Lady Gaga, MGMT, Björk, Ennio Morricone, Kate Bush, Kanye West, The Smashing Pumpkins and Rihanna.
