Grammy Award winners Snarky Puppy play joyful fast-paced instrumental fusion and are a 14-piece band led by bassist, composer and producer, Michael League. They were formed in Denton, Texas but are now based in Brooklyn New York. Snarky Puppy along with Lalah Hathaway won a Grammy Award in 2014 in the “Best R&B Performance” category for their rendition of the Brenda Russell song ‘Something’ from their album ‘Family Dinner - Volume 1’. Their most recent album, ‘We Like It Here’, was recorded and filmed live with a studio audience over four nights in the Netherlands. We took pictures of them the night before the 2014 Grammy Awards ceremony, playing live at a low-key packed out gig in Anaheim, CA - the NAMM Show Bass Bash.
