Stuart Spector started making bass guitars in the 70s and developed the popular NS curved-body model with furniture designer Ned Steinberger. The company was sold to Kramer then Spector later regained control of his trademark. Players of the US brand include Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, Doug Wimbish, Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Alyson Palmer of Betty, Billie Jade of Hatchet Dawn and Rob Holliday of Sulpher and The Prodigy.
